IC Market Released Trading Schedule Ahead of Presidents Day

The three-day market break to mark Presidents Day in the United State is expected to affect the stock market. In line with this, IC Markets released a trading schedule for the 2023 Presidents Day celebration.


Details of IC Markets Trading Schedule on Presidents Day

February 20th is marked as a trading holiday in the United States in honor of past president. Therefore, the US Stock Market, including the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), are closed on President's Day. 

This year, the market closed at 4:00 pm EST on February 17th and opened at 9:30 am EST on February 21st. The holiday also affected the US bond market which was closed on 17th. 

However, the federal bank, foreign exchange markets, commodities markets, and overseas financial markets remained open.

IC Markets alerted its customers before Presidents Day through the schedule of trading activities on its platform. On February 14th, 2023, the broker, via its website, notified traders that it had "uploaded trading schedules and general information related to Presidents Day Holiday."

Based on the published schedule, all forex and crypto pairs can be traded within regular trading hours. However trading precious metals, spot energies, and energies futures was closed at 9:30 pm. 

For indices, CA60 was closed through the holiday while other indices closed between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Soft commodities futures and Equities was closed, but Indices and Bond futures closed at 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm, respectively.
