  • The availability of Social trading features allows users to imitate the trades of other successful traders on the platform.

  • eToro offers a wide range of assets for trading, including cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities, and more.

  • Also, its mobile trading app allows users to manage their portfolios and trade on the go.

Cons

  • eToro's fees can be higher than other trading platforms, particularly for certain asset classes.

  • eToro does not support the popular MetaTrader platform, which some traders may find inconvenient.

  • The platform's customer support can be slow to respond and may not always be able to resolve issues quickly.

  • Although eToro is available in the US, some trading restrictions on its services may limit access for some traders.

Unique Selling Points

1. eToro Club: This is a program designed to show appreciation. This program's membership is divided into five tiers, each with its own set of premium perks and exclusive features. The higher the tier, the more offers are available to you, including personalized assistance, lower fees and other discounts, crypto staking rewards, exclusive access to live webinars and hand-picked partner platforms, and access to leading digital financial publications.

2. Partner Smart Portfolios: Smart Portfolios are innovative, long-term investment portfolios that offer convenient access to various markets. Partner Portfolios are created in collaboration with some of the world's most innovative investment start-ups, money managers, and data research companies and then offered to millions of eToro users around the globe.

3. Social investing: With eToro's CopyTrader, you can copy trades automatically based on the moves of other traders. It's as easy as choosing an investor you want to copy, and begin mirroring their positions automatically. The minimum amount to copy a user is $200, and users can copy up to 100 traders simultaneously. Although the service is available only for crypto, eToro plans to add copy trading for stocks and ETFs.

Established in 2007, eToro has consistently provided an easy-to-use platform for traders, earning a reputation as a reliable and trustworthy service. Three entrepreneurs founded the company in Israel; eToro quickly expanded its product lineup to become a global service offering much more than forex trading.

With an innovative approach, eToro introduced the social trading experience in 2010 with its OpenBook platform. This feature enabled users to learn from and copy other seasoned traders. And that was just the beginning. eToro continued to expand its services to include stock trading, automated portfolios, and cash management features.

One of the company's standout features is the social investing feature, CopyTrader. This dynamic feature lets users quickly find investors to copy trades based on investor star ratings, and performance metrics. With a minimum investment of just $200, traders can copy up to 100 investors simultaneously. It's a great way to learn from the experts and potentially earn profits.

In this eToro review, we will examine all there is to know about the broker platform.

Supported Countries

eToro is available globally and in most countries, so you can trade from almost anywhere globally and over 140 countries.

These countries include Algeria, Antigua and Barbuda, the United Kingdom and Virgin Islands, Romania, Slovakia, Denmark, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Nigeria, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Greece, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Croatia, Lithuania, Malta, Cyprus, Latvia, or Estonia, and others.

The eToro platform also provides some of its services to the residents of the United States of America. However, eToro is not available for trading in certain countries due to regulatory restrictions. If you're a resident of Canada, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Albania, Serbia, Sudan, or Syria, unfortunately, you won't be able to access the eToro trading platform.

Customer Service Rating

According to TrustPilot, eToro has over 19,000 reviews and an excellent score of 4.4 out of 5 stars. That's an impressive feat and speaks to the platform's reliability and overall satisfaction of its users.

Many of the positive reviews mention the platform's stability and ease of use. This is great news for those new to trading and who might be intimidated by more complex platforms. Another standout feature that users love is the copy trading option. This feature allows users to follow and copy the trades of experienced investors, making it an incredibly useful tool for those still learning the ropes.

However, there are some negative remarks as well. Some users have mentioned difficulty connecting with customer service, which can be frustrating.

ETORO Trading Platforms

The eToro Broker platform gives clients access to two trading platforms. You can choose between the proprietary web platform or the mobile application. Both are user-friendly and intuitive.

  • Web Platform: One of the standout features of eToro is its web trading platform, which offers a clean design and great functions. The menus and buttons are where you expect them to be, making them easy to navigate and use, even if you're a beginner. You can also leverage its social trading feature, which allows users to engage with other platform members through the Popular Investor Program. Popular Investor Program members are compensated based on the number of copiers they have, which can be a great way to earn extra income. Another great feature of eToro is the CopyTrader tool, which lets you quickly search for and copy the crypto trades of popular investors. This feature makes it easy to learn from experienced traders and can be a great way to improve your trading skills.

  • Mobile App: With the mobile trading app, you can access all the platform's features from the palm of your hand. This user-friendly app allows you to do anything you would on the eToro site, from managing your portfolio to tracking markets and imitating other traders. You can trade on the go from a variety of devices and locations around the world as long as you have access to an internet connection. The social news feed is another interactive element of the eToro experience, with the site functioning much like a distinct social media feed. eToro's mobile app is available on both Android and iOS smartphones.

Type of Trading Accounts on ETORO

eToro offers two different trading accounts designed to meet the specific needs of their clients: retail and professional trading accounts. Both accounts provide a range of benefits to meet the varying needs of traders.

  • Retail Account: This is perfect for both novice and experienced traders. With this Account, clients have access to a wide variety of trading assets, including shares, stocks, cryptocurrencies, indices, and commodities. Clients are also provided with negative balance protection, ensuring they will never lose more than their account balance. This Account also offers the option to manually trade or copy other successful traders.

  • Professional Account: This is designed for experienced traders willing to take on larger risks. To qualify for this Account, clients must meet certain criteria and apply for it on the eToro online platform. The professional Account offers several benefits, including the ability to use high-leverage trading with no restrictions and negative balance protection. Professional account holders can also withdraw funds from their accounts without incurring any charges.

Trading Denominations on ETORO

eToro comes with a variety of currency options. You can either trade in US dollars, British pounds, euros, or Australian dollars.

Company Structure

eToro is not your typical investment platform. Instead of simply offering a place to trade stocks, the platform has built a community where users can connect, share ideas, and learn from each other. In 2015, eToro took things further by integrating its online trading capabilities with social trading features to create an all-in-one easy-to-use interface.

eToro was also one of the first platforms to pioneer Bitcoin trading in 2013. And in 2017, the platform expanded its digital asset offering, allowing users to trade and invest in cryptocurrencies like ether, XRP, and litecoin.

All of this innovation has not gone unnoticed. EToro has won several awards over the years for its groundbreaking platform. It was named Best of Show at Finovate Europe 2012, won a World Finance Award for Most Innovative Trading Platform in 2010, and the Red Herring 100 Award in 2012.

ETORO Licenses and Regulatory Compliance

eToro is a company that is regulated and licensed by multiple jurisdictions. This allows the platform to serve a global audience and ensures it adheres to the highest financial standards.

  • eToro (UK) Ltd. is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the license FRN 583263.

  • eToro USA Securities Inc. is a broker-dealer registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA/CRD) member.

ETORO Customer Protection

It's essential to know that when you use eToro's Cryptocurrencies Trading Service, you won't benefit from the same protections available to clients receiving MiFID-regulated investment services. These protections include access to the Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund (ICF)/the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) and the Financial Ombudsman Service for dispute resolution or the protections available under Seychelles regulatory framework (as applicable).

However, eToro is a regulated company that complies with regulatory standards. So, for equity assets like stocks and ETFs, eToro is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), which provides insurance coverage of up to $500,000 per customer, including up to $250,000 for cash claims.

Additionally, eToro's clearing partner, Apex, has added supplemental insurance, providing additional protection for eToro customers. This insurance covers up to $37.5 million in securities and $900,000 in cash per individual, giving you even more peace of mind. eToro provides a digital wallet known as the eToro wallet. This wallet allows you to safely store and transfer your cryptocurrency to your digital wallet.

eToro offers multiple options for users who may need assistance. One of the first resources available is the help center, which contains many frequently asked questions. Deposits

When depositing funds on eToro, the amount you must deposit for the first time depends on your region and country's regulations. The range can vary from $10 to $10,000. For all subsequent deposits after the initial one, you'll need to deposit a minimum of $50 regardless of location.

One of the biggest advantages of eToro is the plethora of deposit and withdrawal options available to you. You can pick from a credit card, bank transfer, or an online payment platform. It's worth noting that unverified accounts are limited to a total deposit of $2,250. So, if you plan on depositing more than that, you must verify your Account first.

Additionally, eToro does not support some payment methods in specific countries. Therefore, it's best to verify which payment gateway is available for you to use before making any deposits.

Withdrawals

After requesting a withdrawal, eToro will send you an email to confirm the status of your withdrawal request within two business days. However, it's important to note that processing the withdrawal may vary depending on the payment method used and can take up to 10 business days.

If eToro cannot return your funds via your original deposit method, they will ask for an alternative payment method. It's also worth noting that withdrawal requests are subject to a processing fee, which you can see in the Cashier segment after entering the withdrawal amount. Additionally, conversion fees may apply if you choose to withdraw in a currency other than USD.

To keep track of your withdrawal status, you can easily check the history tab in your eToro account dashboard.

ETORO Trading Education and Training

If you're a sophisticated investor, you might find that eToro's tools and calculators are limited compared to what you're used to. While the platform may not offer as much functionality as other trading platforms, it has some great features that can help you get started with your investments.

One of the best things about eToro is the eToro Club offering. As you level up, this program provides access to more research features and news options. And as you progress through the levels, you'll gain access to a wealth of resources to help you make better investment decisions.

For beginners, the eToro Club offers a variety of resources, including guides, podcasts, webinars, and videos. These resources cover everything you need to know about trading, stocks, crypto, and investing on eToro.

Advantages: Great for social trading Licensed by FCA Unlimited demo account

Disadvantages: None

Comment: This broker is definitely the best one if you want to use social trading as your strategy, and I don't regret choosing it. I started with a demo account there, and I can say that if you want to give trading a try in a pressure-free environment, it's a great option for you. It actually provides better trading conditions than most competitors. Also, I've never had any problems with the withdrawal, and that'snot something that every broker can provide.

Advantages: Optimal conditions for novice traders who get access to tested Expert Advisors The full package of services is available to the client regardless of his account balance Insurance of the client's funds due to the broker's participation in the investor compensation fund

Comment: Over the past few months, I have started using bonuses to top up my account. At first, somehow I did not believe in the bonus system and refused bonuses, I thought that it would only confuse everything. Then I decided to try it anyway and, you know, I liked it. Now I'm trying to work out lots so that the bonus can be withdrawn later. This both stimulates and motivates - I began to devote more time to trading and it seems to me that the results only got better from this. You can take a bonus for each deposit. It turns out that the depot increases by one and a half times. True, the shoulder is now only up to 1:200, but I haven't taken a bigger shoulder before - it's risky to work with a shoulder of 1:1000. I thought at first that I would withdraw more often, but now I've changed my mind, it's still worth leaving a profit - the purpose of the depot is to increase.

Risk Warning: Your capital is at risk. Statistically, only 11-25% of traders gain profit when trading Forex and CFDs. The remaining 74-89% of customers lose their investment. Invest in capital that is willing to expose such risks.
